While it is sad that someone died because of a drug habit, people are blowing it out of proportion just because she is a celebrity. Many people die daily from drug abuse and you don't see all of them aired on the television with all of us mourning them. I really think that all of this Whitney Houston stuff is just unnecessary. Just say she died from overdosing on drugs and move on.
Whitney wasn't "just a celebrity", she was hardly comparable to the likes of Kim Kardashian or Snookie who are famous for nothing.
Whitney was a very talented, very influential woman. That's why it's a big deal, many people enjoyed her music and felt inspired by her. I wouldn't doubt that she was idolised. She was a celebrity with good reason, she earned her fame. Given all that, and how her last few years were spent, a lot of people are going to be sad.
As for regular drug abusers not being aired on television, well it's not like they were already in the spotlight. The famous will die as they lived; the centre of attention.
I'm seriously concerned for her daughter regarding all this. Bobbi's only 19, and she's lost her mother. The poor girl was already going off the rails years ago thanks to Whitney's influence.
Everyone's sad that Whitney died. I'm sad that no one stepped in and made her kick the habit. If someone, anyone, had managed to make her stop she'd probably be alive and wouldn't have lot so much. Instead a young girl has lost her mother and we're in morning for a talent that was destroyed years before Whitney's death.
I feel ya i lost my mom at 14 my sister at 13 and i know how bad it was for my sister. The daughter will be in my prayers.
