I can live without it since add level is ok, but if others can't, feel free to report ADD XP not working.

I recently purchased this game on Steam. Anyway, when I launch the game, it connects to EA Servers. I have been wanting to use Trainer with this game, but am worried/concerned about being banned? What can I do? Is Trainer safe to use with this game? Thoughts and help appreciated

It's only a single player game, the online account was for saves before there was a cloud save. The studio went bankrupt years ago so there is nobody to actually ban you from the game so I'd say your pretty safe . Been using the trainer with this game for a long long time and never had an issue.

Add xp works, just not in the first area. Once you make it out of tower after killing the troll, it'll start working.

Probably because you were level 0 in there?

Indeed, you need to progress past the Rock Troll in the prologue to properly use all other functions aside from Unlimited Health/Mana/Reckoning/Gold/Unlimited inventory.

If you use Add XP/Ability/Skill points while still in the Prologue, you will cause a game bug where the main menu items will disappear completely. You won't be able to save, load, go into any of the game menus (Abilities, Quests etc), or even exit the game.

Use them once you beat the Rock Troll and exit the Tower. You'll probably be lvl1 around that spot and you'll be able to progress normally.

I'm getting an "installation failed" error when trying to run this trainer.

I noticed my anti-virus started deleting random stuff and I ended up stopping it halfway through. Disabled the anti-virus and all other trainers work except this one. I even re-downloaded the file, and nothing.

any suggestions?

Did you try and exclude the trainer exe file in your security software and kept it enabled?

Or even better: Store all our trainers in just 1 folder and create an exclusion for this folder?

When I read the "recent" comments about the Trainer not working properly I was a bit curious as I use the Steam version and it works just fine, no problems at all. So I tried the Origin version (yes, with the Origin game version) and it's a little buggy. I didn't test every single option but the following options simply did not work in the Origin version:
Numpad 6: Add XP
Numpad 8: Add Skill Points
Numpad 9: 0 Skill Points

However, as someone else previously reported, instead of using Numpad 8 and Numpad 9 to add and 0 Skill Points you can use the Numpad / and Numpad * options to add and 0 both Skill Points and Ability Points!

As I say, the Steam version of the Trainer with the Steam version of the game is working flawlessly for me, all options are working as described! I suspect EA have pushed some sort of changes to the Origin version of the game that affects the Trainer. So, if you're looking to purchase the game get the Steam version instead of the Origin version and avoid the problems with Origin!
