Hey people i just started minecraft again and im looking for an online server to have a bit of a mess around on o: anyone know or have one i can join?

Is there not a server list when you sign in?

If you mean private servers for not legit versions then don't ask.

Not all private servers are not for piracy (same argument of trying to say all rectangles are squares). This is a valid question since some users (Dhampy) do host servers for CHUers to play on. Likewise, the official public server list is huge and other users may offer suggestions which ones are better.

Please stop using an accusation tone if you're not going to help the user by suggesting servers to join. It doesn't add any useful content to the thread.

I thought they allowed player run servers to be added to the list so when you log in you can get to them easily.

As for accusation I didn't, learn the English Neo.

You're in Australia, right? Well, there are two main ones I go on fairly regularly.

mcau.org

lewna.net

They're quite good, and my friend and I go on mcau.org fairly often, and the people are quite friendly most of the time, unless you don't read the rules or you grief. I also found that lewna.net is very 'noob' friendly. First hour of going on that server and about 3 people were practically tripping over themselves to help me out, or to get me involved in a project c:

I like servers where people will help get you started, instead of smack talking you for not being as "intelligent" as they are.

Are servers on the list descriptive? As in have a topic per line to explain what kind of server it is?

And is there a way of listing servers closest to your location in the list or by topic?
