Not sure if this is a game bug or bug related to the trainer and mega items I'm guessing. Three times I've made a custom item and then it disappears from my hand and gone from inventory. Last time was really sad as I was able to make a Nail'd bat with a green quality bat use it for a while and then I got a blue quality bat upgraded and made it Nail'd and I lost both, just vanished after I left the workbench screen. any clues?

If you use the mega items option drop your weapons first than use it. I may not be a trainer maker but i know that when you use it and you still have your weapons they disappear when they get modded or dropped if you have the 99 next to them

If you use Mega Items, I suggest droping all melee weapons out of your inventory before turning it on, then turn it on, enter your inventory, turn it off again, and pick up your items again.
I've lost many weapons to the fact that if you have 99 of a single weapon it messes them up once their out of your inventory. Selling them and buying them back if they are all ready at 99 with the option off fixes this bug. So before doing anything with weapons other then repairing or upgrading (Not modifying) you should make sure you only have 1 of them.

its not a bug with the trainer, i had it happen to my Gabriel's hammer when i added the magic wand mod to it. it just up and dissappeared from the game even though it was compatible with the mod

Do NOT add any weapons that have 99 to storage.... they will be stuck in there forever and you can never get them out.
Also do NOT drop them to the ground or the will disappear when you pick them up. (Again, I'm referring to if you activated the trainer and they have 99 in front of the name.)

It would be nice if the trainer didn't give you 99 for weapons or if they added add another trainer option to reset everything to 1 (like they did in Deus Ex: HR).

A good way to work around this is to turn the cheat off, then sell and then buy-back the item. Resets the item count to 1, and is easier than navigating through the PC inventory.

Awesome, that's a great tip. Now at least there is a way to upgrade an item that accidentally was x99.
