Witcher 2, The - Assassins of Kings Message Board  

Has anyone figured out how to craft items? I buy the recipes but I can't read them to see ingredients needed. I go to crafters and select the recipe I want made but nothing happens. I can't find any tutorial in-game or online about it, I must be missing something.

U press ctrl -> got to meditate (the middle button)
THen u get this fancey looking wheel and then u press alchemy.

Thats for potions atleast, all other crafting has to be done by a NPC.

It won't work for me, I select the recipe in the alchemy menu but it doesn't list what materials are needed and pushing "Create" does nothing. Works the same way for armor and weapon crafters.

Look in your game folder if you bought online through Steam etc, there is a manual that tells you what you have to do.

I only figured out the meditation option when I hit the dungeons... where I couldn't meditate -.-;.

Speaking of the dungeon, did anyone find their sword? I found a potion, a stone, and some kind of club... but no sword. The guide which comes with the CE definitely says there should be a sword there...

Well u can get a sword after u yeah kill the executioner, if ur talking about when ur in "prison".

And it should work if u have the stuff u need, if not id send a bugrepot to the producers.

I mean just after you bust out of the prison cell.

As for not being able to meditate, it was in the same room and just said you can't meditate here. No big deal; it was only to use a Cat, but I could see okay without it.
