The creator of Pokemon, Takeshi Shodu died yesterday at the age of 61. Today, the world of gaming is mourning the passing away of an icon: the creator of the Pokemon anime, Takeshi Shodu. Takeshi Shodu was credited with revolutionizing the world of anime and gaming by creating a character called Pokemon, which was recognized the world over. Takeshi Shodu had collapsed at a train station in Nara City and had to be rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead soon after he reached the hospital and the cause of his death was subarchnoid hemorrhage. Takeshi Shodu was the creator of the original Pokemon anime series and he also wrote the first three Pokemon movies in addition to various novels based on the series. Even though not widely recognized for the series, Takeshi Shodu had also written, ‘The Magical Princess of Minky Momo’. Takeshi Shodu will be greatly missed, but his legacy will surely continue in the form of Pokemon.
Takeshi Shodu, thanks for my childhood <3 , RIP.
