Strange the game didn't upgrade for me. I am still running the v063 build (PC)

The reason the game isn't updating to bring all versions in line, is because all of the different versions are essentially the same. There aren't any bugs present in one that aren't in another for example. One build is not 'better' than another. The code is different for whatever odd reason Eden decided to do it. I'm sure a future update will remove all of this version confusion.

I was wondering about that. Well either way, I am staying away from the game, until they have everything ironed out. Really kind of sad that the game makers are still beta testing this game. hehe

The game has really updated now!

The retail version is now v082 build 3.

Its deffo updated to v082 via steam that is;

Mine's now version 82 and mine's Retail , so it looks like the version numbers now tally . After updating I had to input my serial number again to activate it again . Plays without a CD in with the newly patched proper exe in place ,but don't know if that was the case before the game was patched because I used the reloaded one before patching and so never tried starting the game with the original exe without a cd in . Obviously the current reloaded one is incompatible with the patched game so I tried starting the patched game with the newly patched exe in place but without the cd in and it loads fine

The patch also added a TDU2v082.big file and a TDUv082.map file to the main game folder . It doesn't seem like the Uplauncher itself got updated judging by the modified dates on the exe , but I can't be 100% certain

The main executable has been updated - If you right click TestDrive2.exe and select Properties, go to the Details tab - the Product version now shows TDU2 v082. I will compress and send executable via e-mail.
