I've hated every HTC i've used :/ but that's just my personal preference, never been a fan of phones that run on windows despite being an avid PC gamer, they just don't seem reliable enough for me, but that may be fixed now, last HTC i played with was Touch Diamond.

If you wanna get a smartphone go for HTC. But getting a phone with windows mobile is a no no. It's slow and crashes. I would go for something with android. Personally I upgraded from htc touch pro to htc desire and I haven't looked back. The UI is much better (isn't slow either), the Amoled screen is gorgeous, the android market has a plethora of applications (lots of free ones too). The only con I see from looking at the specs is that it has a smaller screen than HD2 (3.7 inches). But compared to the pros I think you'll be satisfied. I think they're at the same price too. Of course in the end it's your decision but take it from someone who's been there. Windows mobile sucks, period.

Trust is a fragile thing. Once trust is lost, it can be impossible to recover. Those we're closest to can betray us,and total strangers can come to our rescue. In the end, most people decide to trust only themselves. It really is the simplest way to keep from getting burned.

I read a review about the sony Ericcson and it wasn't that good. From what I heard it's still using the old Android system, not the new one.

Well still I haven't gained anything; it's %50 vs. %50 well I've done some more researching and it seems that the HD2 is kinda better

Maybe you won't agree with me but what i'd pick when it comes to cell phones is Nokia! So none from above.
