You've got an equal chance of getting the RROD with an Elite and a regular 360. There's practically no difference in hardware between the two, excluding the hard drive.
Well most of the RRoD are considered a problem with the regular 360's because of the rush-job manufacturing was only done on the regular 360's, not on Elite's.
So mainly it is a problem with the regular 360, but only with the first models really. Otherwise the user is doing something to cause it to RRoD
I've had an elite for years. I've gotten the trod twice, but the first time I was keeping it right beside my tv, and the second I was playing guitar hero during a thunderstorm and the power went out and it got fried.
and don't worry about "taking a break" because the elite was built with a different cooling system than the original 360's. I've had mine on for three days straight before and boning happened. it was barely warm by the end of it.
maybe but as i said it is good to give a break to xbox after playing for 2-3 hoursand
