So i have just bought an Elite after searching up and down the internet about this wired RRoD problem 360's has. Then i came across a few that had this on an Elite. And i bought the thing to avoid this problem. So i am asking if anyone on CH had an Xbox 360 and a RRoD, Elite or not.

I've had my elite for 5 months and I have not had this problem. Make sure your 360 isn't on a dusty surface, somewhere where it's warm or make sure all the power cables are properly connected.

You've got an equal chance of getting the RROD with an Elite and a regular 360. There's practically no difference in hardware between the two, excluding the hard drive.

Well then it must be a hardware problem, do you still have your wararnty? I'd take it back to the store you bought it from. Otherwise if you suffer frequent power surges there that could mess up your 360.

Sorry if i was a little vague on the thread post, I haven't came across the problem yet myself, just scared that i will. I guess it's time to get the AC going..

    Well that explains alot.

Baisically follow the FAQ's, if you get power surges try and get a UPS and thats all you can really do to prevent it. But if it happens take it back.
