When you don't pack it in some kind of cupboard without air circulation you shouldn't have any problems.
The newer Jasper revision have rarely this problem.
I have no idea what people are doing, that they get it all 1-2 months. Maybe they have it standing in the sun and play 24/7.
My elite from october 09 don't have any problems.
The problems were bigger on older consoles, but they are gone for the most now, till the GPU/CPU are produced in 65nm.
The new XBOX "slim" shouldn't have the problems, because it have better cooling system and uses 45nm.
I don't think that you can get old revisions which were afflicted by RRoD.

i concur. this problem occurred mostly with the initial batch of 360s and usually when u kept the 360 in a well ventilated space with proper air circulation it didn't heat all that much. but with the later editions most problems were rectified. to be safe..as dartkone points out..take a break after say 2 or 3 hours of play.
I have x-box 360 elite, just bought 2 months ago and i don't have that problem till now but while playing for 3 hours my x-box get turned off automatically, how i don't know.
you should be able rondos that. I believe there is a setting (I don't remember exactly where so you'll have to do sole searching, I think it's somewhere on console settings) that makes it turn off automatically after a certain period of time. I believe it is either three or six hours, so I think it's most likely that that is where your problem is. simply turn the setting off.
