This worked for me too - if you download the most recent version of the trainer it seems to fix that crashing issue (and I was one of those people that none of the other fixes worked for).

I recently ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and lo and behold, it found h4x0r.dll in three different locations. Had it remove all three and magically the trainer started working. So if there is any chance that you ever downloaded a non Cheat Happens trainer you might want to download and run a full system scan

That's because h4x0r.dll is created to block the functionality of CH trainers. I would advise you against using them.

I really need help with this trainer. I use a steam version of the game (1.02 of course) and 1.02 Steam version of the trainer. Windows 7 x64, antivirus (Kaspersky) unloaded.
Regardless of administration rights and compatibility mode game crashes immediately after "Trainer activated" words. Tried pressing F1 in main menu, in loaded or resumed game - doesn't matter.
AVG is the worst anti-virus ever seen, get a decent one! I suggest Kaspersky or avast!
Actually, Avast! considers it a trojan, too. Had to exclude it.
I use Kaspersky and i have no problems made the trainer folder an excused file and everything runs great and have yet to have a virus eat up this comp...
Iv an issue, im using the latest trainer, with the latest patch for me2, and health and party health work, but the moment i press my health, i get 8mill credits, and 9mill of each resource, when i press party health, i get thousands of paragon points, then when i press unlimited ammo, i get thousands of renegade, and when i do no reload, it takes em away...this trainer is wacky to put it lightly, and all that is without even trying the other options, so lord knows what will happen with them, or is it something im doing or need to do?
Im running the game+trainer as admin, i have no antivirus on during the download OR the running, and im using the correct (retail) trainer for my retail game.
