It wouldn't be so bad but the combat is the most monotonous that I have EVER seen in an RTS. It literally takes over two minutes for your entire squad to shoot down one guy just because EVERYONE in this game has over inflated XP. This means what should took maybe ten minutes to get through the first couple of missions into over a half hour at least. I would not recommend this game unless you like staring at squads shooting each other at point blank range for minutes at a time. Did i also mention it takes like 3 or 4 frag grenades just to kill your basic enemy?
What kind of games are you into? If you like RTS and Warhammer I would go with the original Dawn Of War series. I found them to be a little easy but alot of fun. It's sad that they oversaturated the enemies in this game with HP otherwise this would be a really fun game.
I could deal with it if the combat did not take so freaking long. It sucks having units shoot point blank at each other for minutes, and the only reason why I move them into point blank range is because trying to hit an nme behind cover is a time taking ordeal.
I honestly have no idea how your combats can take two minutes. (and yes, I'm assuming you're exagerating.) The original dow was more about amassing a great deal of fire power. In this, you actually need to flank the enemy to beat them and use your special abilities. DoW2 is more squad based than DoW.

yea..u're right...even so...i too love the DOW series more.

I wish I could say I am exaggerating but I am not. I have literally surrounded enemy squads and have had to take minutes to kill them. The only time combat moves faster is if I have my scout squad throw C-4 or my combat squad throw grenades. And it takes several of both to do the job............
