i never actually connected to the EA server, lol. so yeah that shouldn't be the problem.

I do have a bit of a problem with one instruction. You say copy the file because it is dated. But when I download from the links you provide the file get's (re)dated to the day of download. Does this mean the mod won't work because of that?

Yea well will wright in all of his infinite wisdom needs to patch spore up, i cant even enjoy the game because of the constant attacks on my home planet... scratch that i refuse to play the game because i cant enjoy it because of the freakin attacks.

No, it'll still work. What he's saying is that the "last changed date" must be newer than the other files in the SPORE/Data folder. What you're experiencing won't cause you any problems.
