If you work out, what do you normally do? What do you like to do? Do you have a routine? Do you challenge yourself at all and push yourself?

Working out, or exercising is something I like to do and do a lot to prepare for my future. I first started going to the gym when I was 19, back then I hardly knew what I was doing. But ever since then I've always been learning more and more. It wasn't but a couple of months ago did I REALLY start knowing what I have to do to meet my goals and actually applying them.

So anyway, I don't have a routine but I'd say I take working out fairly seriously. I push myself to do better each time and make sure that I do, for example, do more pushups than last time, more pull ups, swim more, run more or faster, etc. I'm always mixing it up too, whenever I try to plan out a weekly schedule and stick to it...it never works and I always end up doing whatever.

I also incorporate pretty much everything into my workouts. Swimming, running, push ups, pull ups, bunch of variations of sit ups and planking. Lower body I mainly do squats, lunges and jumping exercises like explosives and just jumping as high as I can. I have no idea what they are called but these are at my gym Link which I use for jumping exercises. Every once in a while I'll do weights for upper body.

So I'm not sure how active this topic will be...not sure if anyone here works out or not haha. But if you have any questions feel free to post here or send me a message, I'll be more than happy to answer anything I can!

I hate working out, but I love playing games.

So I play basketball, baseball, softball, football, soccer, swimming, whatever in season for hours in order to stay in shape. I do some simple curls type stuff with 20-pound weights too since most of those activities focus solely on the lower body (with all the running around and whatnot).

I used to work out every day when I was in high school and on sports teams, but now since I'm not training for a team and I'm not going to be an MMA fighter any time soon, what's the point of working out?

I also carry a 50 pound backpack around with me wherever I go. Does that count?

Well I'm training for something so I guess its both gotta do it and I enjoy it.

But yeah, actually if you frequently walk around with a heavy backpack that will tone your legs up real nice.

I started running track in third grade and did track and cross country up through high school. It's my favorite form of exercise.

I just started a weight training program about a month ago, though. I don't know anything at all about weights and such, so it's been interesting! But now I'm benching 60 pounds! Not bad for a female weight lifting novice!

That's good! And don't worry, you'll learn a lot, fast if you are interested in learning more of course.

I've been meaning to start lifting weights for a long time, but I never had any idea where to start and such. My friend that knows a lot about weight training and makes training plans for people offered to make one for me so he's been helping me out a LOT. I wish I had gone to him sooner! But he said I've been making great progress. Right now I'm just focusing on form rather than weight so that I don't hurt myself!

And by the way, I believe those platforms that you didn't know what they were called are steps. Very creative name, I know.

I have actually started going to the gym after highschool, I was in a bad shape and I really needed it, first time in a gym is REALLY hard and awkward, but I've gone a long way since then.
I love working out, love that aching feeling you get when you're done from a hard exercise, however I seriously can't commit to keep going as I should go, as a medicine student it's impossible to do both at once, especially when I have exams, so I always end up going 3 weeks then stop going for another 2, then go back again.

The problem here is that when I go back, I can't continue from the place I left on, I have to go a few steps back, so it makes improving really hard.

Sometimes I think that I'm not eating as well as I should, and some people around me tell me that I should take protein shakes, other are telling me not to. I personally don't like taking these stuff, but I might change my mind soon.
