Overall it looks much better I think, especially the colour scheme. The area in the middle of the top page featuring the 'Latest Updates' is a lot more attractive to read now. The same thing for the user control panel at the top of the page.
I also agree with the random game image being cool, but it's also nice to see the CH logo at the top of the page.
