I'd have to agree with HG, there's just something about the old style I preferred. I think the dynamic game images in the header was a big part of that. Maybe it was also the simplification, making it seem less professional to me? But that's just my opinion and I know you want to streamline it. I'll get used to it and I'm sure you aren't entirely finished tweaking it yet.

RTFOPost? Still a couple of weeks before it's fully implemented and then some to tweak based on feedback. Nothing left to do but wait, I guess.
Trust me, it was difficult to get rid of some of the components of the site that have been there for 10 years (like the rotating gaming graphics) but it was time for a change. The more dynamic content that has to load or change with every page refresh, the more stress it puts on the servers, the more it takes away from the actual content area (as your eyes are focused more on what changed in the header area) and the more it slows down the overall experience. The site is already running almost 100% faster and consuming way less bandwidth (and server resources) than before the change. It also means that we don't have to spend time making top graphics and can spend that time on more important things.
Regarding the Trainer Manager, this will also be overhauled slightly, but mostly for appearance. Same for the trainers.

Will you guys be removing some of the older cheats and trainers or will these still be accessible? I think the conversion looks great so far, I just want to know whether or not some of the classic trainers/cheats are part of the planned obsolescence.

No, we won't be removing any of the actual CONTENT, only some pages and features that are no longer necessary or are barely used. Some of the things we remove will also have a fallback page in case you DID use that page, you can still add it to your bookmarks bar, etc.
