You really don't need to extend range when your armor value is high and your reload is really high. Set your matchlock/archer units to 150 reload (if exclusive unit) and you can hold a citadel with 4 units!!! With quite ease I might add. But here is the rub, it gets quite boring but I leave that up to the user....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you can't say it face to face, don't say it here!!
EDIT: I think I am doing something wrong cause enemy has same range as me. 150

I only edited the "Chosokabe Samurai archers" only. Not the whole archers available for Chosokabe. Anyway, go to custom battle, and recruit the Chosokabe Samurai Archers. It should have a longer range and fire flaming arrows. The edited units will also affect your campaign.
I have replaced the patch2.pak file with the one you gave and the range is still the same both in custom battle and in campaign.
Here is another link. If it is still the same then I do not know what went wrong cause everything is working fine from here. Anyway, if you are in doubt, open the pack file I send and look at for "units_land_tables". At the "Unit ID Ref" column, look for "Inf_Missile_Bow_Samurai_Chosokabe". The stats should already been edited to 100 for accuracy, reload, and ammo. If you see it, and you are not seeing the effects on the game then I am not sure what is wrong with your game.
Unless you also have apocalypse mod (or any mod) file in the data folder. What happens is, the game will read the mod files instead of the pack file that I sent.
Can you send the download link for the modified Chosokabe clan pack file please? Also the original, unaltered data pack as I forgot to backup my original one. Thanks much.
I sort of modified the unit stat but not noticing any significant changes, for example I changed the projectile range for my matchlock soldiers but it stays the same, when I modified the accuracy and reloading speed however it did show, except for the number of troops.
I am also encountering a new crash-to-desktop problem, it happens after round 50 (or so), when I save the game and exit to windows, restart the game and load the save game file, it crashes to desktop. I had to start a new campaign gameplay all over again.
