That could probably explain all these storms that's been happening. I mean, Australia had two cyclones in one week, and one of them was a total monster. But cyclones around here happen pretty much every year. Is the world going to end because of these storms? No, I really don't think so. These storms may have been more severe than usual but hey, there's got to be a time when there's the worst snowstorm in decades (or whatever, I'm not really sure) or the widest cyclone on record. You know, a first time for everything kind of thing.

I am sure we have had this discussion before and I will give the same answer as I gave before.
Nobody knows for sure, you have scientists who declare that its not true or its a hoax, but what makes them the experts? They can tell the future can they?
It may be just scare mongering by doom and gloom people or it could be some truth to it.
The Mayan's at that time and the technology level they were at, were more advanced than we are, they could predict the cycles of the planets and stars among other things. They also knew about Sun Flares and their effects on the planet.
Which leads to NASA believing the Sun's Mega-Flare cycle is about to end in 2012, an we may be hit with a powerful flare that could circumvent the Earth's magnetic shield (which protects us from other flares and produces the Borealis' of the world) and burn the earth, it already happened in Greenland back in 1859, it wasn't powerful enough to totally bypass the magnetic shield, but it left elements in Greenland's soil like Beryllium 10 among others.
Some even think Tunguska wasn't caused by a Meteorite but could be Solar Flare damage.
One thing is true in all cases like this, it was hitting around the poles as that is where the Magnetic Shield of the planet is at its weakest (like a funnel effect), and Greenland and Tunguska are close to the north pole.
So will this Flare happen? Nobody knows, but if it does it will be a spectacular sight to see its progression to us, but deadly.
As for nut case cults, we will probably see them in droves unfortunately and I believe midnight of 20th of December 2012 will be a nasty night in terms of news of these people. Even christians will be going nuts thinking this could be the Rapture event.
But thats human nature.
Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

This thing isn't that different that the Mayan calender thing, my opinion on this was what I wrote (unless I didn't actually click the post button and my post wasn't deleted) and that is I don't believe in this nonsense and the world ends when it ends, we don't know when and we're not supposed to know.
If you find my opinion repetitive then write a list of the posts you don't wanna see next time.
