I have more of a problem with the way the topic is probably going to go. People are saying near enough the same things as opposed to bring anything new to the discussion. It happens frequently with topics that aren't spam or forum games.
Back on topic, I'm curious as to why these types of articles are cropping up more now when high profile storms have been around for a while. I never used to be concerned, but I guess an article with an explanation that isn't Global Warming is easy to believe and take seriously.

It's because we're getting closer and closer to 2012. Eventually it's going to get to the point where people blame stubbed toes and hangnails on 2012 and the apocalypse.
We're all going to die from a nuclear world war like Fallout.
...or worse. We'd turn into ghouls. So load up on skin care products.
I think the whole "Nuclear War" scenario would be sheer insanity on behalf of the politicians and I think that neither side would be so masochistic as to start a nuclear war.
