Ordinarily I'd run around like a crazy person about the apocalypse, but I'm willing to bet people are only freaking out so much because we're edging closer to 2012. Of course, we were supposedly going to be killed by 2000 and the LHC.

You know for all the science and technology of the world I actually see no purpose in predicting how the world will end. I mean it's just pure nonsense.
If the world ends I want it to be out of the blue, not with knowledge of it.
I mean what good is being a psychic, if the only thing you're gonna see is your death?
World ends... big deal. I lived an average life, I lived the way I thought I should have, without fear of pre-mature ending or any of that nonsense. I simply lived.
Ayy lmao

I don't think anybody believes it! It's not even worth being called "nonsense".

Well they say that the new ice age is going to begin soon, so it's going to last 30 years, so when the ice ace comes, it's going to kill all plant and animals, then some of us are going to surely die

The magnetic poles are constantly shifting. Every second of every day they are in a different place. And even ten thousand years or so they reverse altogether. It's not going to harm anything that a quick firmware patch can't fix.
In the end they will lay their freedom at our feet and say to us, 'Make us your slaves, but feed us.'

There is no evidence for any apocalypse. there is lot's of evidence against any current hoax about the apocalypse in 2012.
Ignorant people throughout the ages have fantasised about the apocalypse. so far, after thousands of predictions, nothing has happened.
The only reason people have seized on 2012 is because some idiot said (wrongly it turns out) that the Mayan Calendar ended on that date. and ever since then every crazy end of the world idea has been tagged as happening on that date. It is just copycat nonsense.
Most likely some hoaxers and scammers promote this believe in the feeble minded and gullible for their own ends either to make money off gullible fools or to get a kick out of scaring children.

They Mayan Calender ending doesn't even mean anything in itself either. The Mayan civilization believed that time was in cycles rather than linear (way we think). At the end of the calender system, the whole thing just starts again from the start. They may have had some human sacrifices due to their own beliefs but that's the worst that ever happened out of it.

u don't have to be or need to be a fortune-teller to predict the end of the world. at the rate we're going about brutalizing the planet with unplanned deforestation/mining and guzzling of natural resources etc. for a booming global population which is soon to touch 7 billion...we're probably headed there anyway.
