lol i remember when i made one of these...
..but yeah, i guess everyone is moving on with their lives (Especially the elders). I know I am, I hardly go on here, and I even forget about this place once in awhile..

Yeah and this..

People move on as they grow older and find different interests to give more attention..

And I sometimes forget about this site for months, but then I remember it and go active for a while but then leave again. It goes on in this cycle.

then what was the point?

i don't think he was trying to make a point...a mere observation perhaps...but i have to agree...things seemed to have been a bit quiet lately.

Lmao, that's weird because I thought the place had been picking up over the past few weeks.

I can't really comment on the "old days" since, even though I've been a member since 07, I've only started posting in the last year or so. However, I imagine any differences in activity would be due to the fact that many new members seem to only sign up to grab a trainer and scuttle off.

Or to endlessly complain that there isn't a specific option they alone want... but that's another story. <.<

In that regard, CH isn't much different from other sites which require a sign up/payment to gain access to the files stored there. Old members move on, or lose patience with new members who seem to think the site is here for them and them alone. -shrugs- Sad, but true. I've seen this kind of thing take down a good number of decent sites before, or at least kill the "community" aspect. Hopefully that won't happen here though.

Disclaimer: I'm not blaming all problems on all new members, by the way. I re-read my post and realised it seemed that way. The more new members we get on CH the better. It's just some... well, I've already gone in to that.

I loved the good ol' days. I could post a question or a comment on a topic and get a response very quickly. Now its like once a day.

I think the boards were really the most active in 2007 and first of 2008.
Then the members at that time started to get bored or just grew up from the site and they just stopped visiting the site much. The problem was no one really replaced those active members.
I bet most of them still lurk in the darkness and visit the site, just without posting or creating topics as they used to.

And the community now seems to be divided into groups, which I think kinda doesn't allow new members to join in or feel welcomed here.
Seriously I might be wrong but I don't see that many new members posting all the time on the boards and people complaining about that there are too many noobs and stuff.

I agree with you Rami. I admit, I stopped coming here for awhile and when I came back. It was like this. All the members I knew hardly post anymore and their aren't many new people.

I haven't really noticed any signs of an increase in activity... :/

Also I agree with Rami. The site is split up into groups. We are too divided and divided we fall. Although I suppose I'm probably not the best example.

I have noticed many people with group names in their signatures. As long as groups make new members feel welcome then its not really a problem. And bashing people for being new to the site isn't going to help new members stay. We all need to be polite to ALL members of CH. Not just the ones we know and have been here for years.
