i agree with you, though i think having the best processor, within reason, i'm not going to rush out and buy a new sext core processor just cause i want the best, sext means six BTW, is more important than having the best vid cards.
Well in my case with my new machine I purchased both the top of the line Nvidia cards and the best CPU I could afford. The CPU I got is a
Intel® Core™ i7 Extreme Edition i7-980, hexa 3.33Ghz cores, 12MB Cache.
I would have gotten the best CPU they offered but one it was overclocked to 4.33 which would probably be more likely to lead to overheat problems and two even if I wanted to get it it was out of my price range.
But I would like to recommend the company I'm getting my new rig from. it's called Velocity Micro and they are a small but growing company based in Richmond Virginia which means when I call them for support I'm actaully talking to someone who works and lives in the United States and not in India or somewhere else over seas. We have enough jobs leaving the U.S. as it is and ultimately hurting our economy.
But the most important reason I buy from them is I have never felt as if their tech staff didn't know waht they were doing.
yeah, i've heard some bad things about dell, the worst was a rumor, or maybe it's true, about a counter hidden in the dos programming i think it was, that counted down the days until the mobo fried itself on purpose so the purchaser would have to get it replaced by dell specifically.
I just found out they do ship to Canada.
