So this game just overheated my GPU. Is this a graphical masterpiece or a hardware guzzler? It would be impossible for me to play this game if it continues to make my CPU as hot as an oven just after 20 minutes of gameplay. So any recommendations? I guess playing with the air conditioner on will suffice.

Maybe it's because of your GPU fan.
I play it on max without any problem.

What graphics card do you use? Might just be a common bug/fault with that card getting hot. ATI's have a tendancy to overheat.

that card shouldn't heat too much..although 200 series up..nvidia cards have been known to heat up quite a bit. see if its dust free too. that too can cause it to heat. u could use a portable industrial blower to clear the insides of the card.

Mine's an XFX NVidia GT 220 and i've never seen my temp go over 60.c, and my room is about a constant 25 - 30.c

Back when my room stuck about 12.c in the winter my GPU never went over 45.c and whole internal case temp never over 15.c

Have you taken your machine apart and cleaned out all your fans lately to optimise your air flow and cooling?

I can't recall the last time I cleaned my PC. So it is about time for me to do some cleaning!
