I beelive the game has been patched again this week because I just tried using the latest trainer with the game and when I select continue story it crashes the game.

There is a way to see if you have the right version or not.
Download the 2 promo trainers at CheatScapes from CJB. Check if the promo trainer says "Game Found" or "Game Found, but wrong version".

I appreciate your input but up until just earlier yesterday the latest version of the trainer was working for me. And then it stops working? How else could you eplain the game crashing like that. So now I am using a fixed EXE and an earlier version of the trainer and it is working without crashes. Exactly what I did the first time the game was patched and then the very next day CH comes out with a trainer for the patched version. So I think I know what I'm doing. But beleive me I have and will ask for help if I need it.

The Mafia II(2) 1.0.0.11 patch have been RolledBack(Canceled)
because it made a new bug in the NonDLC missions..
Uninstall Mafia II(2) and Re-Install it, to cancel the update..

Thanks for the information but I really don't want to have go through ANOTHER install I've done it so many times already and I'm now up to chapter 14.

i have the same problem of game crashing on all 3 cd-fix from game copy world, so i guess i just wait until my favorite cheathappens. i just bought the game from steam so proble have updated already in it darn it...
i just checked our copy of steam mafia II today. game has NOT patched any further and i dont see that it has rolled back to any previous versions. i just tested and the LATEST STEAM trainer posted works perfectly with it. We have the DLC installed with it (from steam) which installs itself automatically.
i have no crashes on loading with trainer and i was able to run around for 10 mins doing all sorts of things with all options on with no crashes.
make sure you have the latest steam version isntalled and updated and the right trainer for it.
i don't know what else to test since it works perfectly here
until my favorite cheathappens. i just bought the game from steam so proble have updated already in it darn it...
