after hitting F1 at menu screen a second latter it says " trainer deactive" using steam v1.1

I had the same issue, but then I downloaded the other version of the trainer (the Retail version, even though I have the Steam version installed), and *that* version of the trainer worked correctly. I suggest trying that.

WOW really? I should check that out I got GOTY edition using steam.

Edit: Nope it didn't work still the same for me activate one second later deactivate.

I am having the same issue. I bought the game on the current steam sale, installed it and it won't activate. I use other trainers with no issues on other steam games. I uninstalled IE10 and went back to IE9 with no luck. In the trainer window it says on the bottom: "trainer and game versions do not match. Please check versions." I have disabled my anti-virus and firewall for testing and tried the other versions of the trainer. I am running Windows 7. I have ran both the game and trainer as admin and went through the trainer troubleshooting guide. Is there anything else I can check?

Yeah i know the trainer worked for me before the update so. Updated must have done something :P

Hey guys the new 10/18 GOTY Trainer seems to fix it. I tried it this morning and its working. FYI-
