Just got the GOTY version off steam do to their 66% sale. Installed downloaded the GOTY trainer. As soon as I press F1 the game exe performs a GPF and crashes the game.

He already said that it's Steam version. He bought it from steam due to their 66% off sale. The same version I have.
Lucky I checked this forum. I was about to pay for cheathappens membership just to get this trainer. And I see most people are having problems with the trainer. I guess I won't get the membership then.
The trainer works just stopping timer doesnt work on steam verison. Everything else on the trainer does work. I even bought the game 66% off sale at Steam. I think people have programs on there computer making the trainer miss up if you ask me. I dont have problems with them like most I seen on here.
Alot of the same people complain about one tainer dont work with a game, then they go to another game and try that trainer for that game, they have the same problem... What you read is not always true for everyone.
Overall the trainer does work, just dont use the time freeze cheat. That frozen up my computer. Everything else works.
I am not trying get on anyones bad side but still, if one trainer dont work because of your spyware program or anything that make it not work, most likely other trainers dont work has well.
Just let you know GOTY version is already installed in steam verison of the game. So if you went to find the update it was kind of pointless.

I hate to necro this thread back up but I'm having this same issue. If it's been solved I apologize, just send me in the right direction
I don't have any anti-virus even installed on my gaming PC aside from microsoft security essentials (which I shut off) and the few versions of this trainer I've tried both do the "trainer activated" then a few seconds later say "deactivated".
I'm using the fully updated steam GOTY v1.0 (that I know is actually retail v1.1) with windows7 and running the trainer off my desktop.
If anyone could help me with this I'd be greatly appreciative!
Same here, have the GOTY version, and the latest trainer and it does the 'activate', 'deactivated' thing sraight off. I have a-virus off and I've only just finished a rebuild. Still no luck. Any suggestions from the creators??

I had the same issue, but then I downloaded the other version of the trainer (the Retail version, even though I have the Steam version installed), and *that* version of the trainer worked correctly. I suggest trying that.
