lol minimum GTX470 -> recommended GTX285... The GTX470 ist faster, than GTX285 xD Anyway my PC should be enough to play it on max settings.
Edit: Ok nvm didn't read it right^^ nvidia sux, they just want to sell cards -.- I am sure, that CPU could be enough to handle the "great" PhysX effects. Even if not, than 1 high end GPU should be enough for sure... Havok FTW

Well infact I choose nVidia over ATI. ATI has its own share of problems on certain games like the Saboteur for example. Whereas nVidia cards are accepted universally and deliver with satisfactory performance too.
I own a GTS250, and I am able to play most of the recent games on High, with 8x Antiscropic Filtering with 8/16x Anti-Aliasing. And the performace is upto the mark too!

@HonestGamer Hmm never noticed problems in saboteur. I buyed HD4870, because it was cheaper than nvidia and fast enough. With HD5xxx ATI hited in bullseye. nvidia just can't challenge with it. Maybe performance is better, but it needs more power & is to loud.
I never had any problems with ATI/nVidia and i buy whole time cards, which are better at this moment. Now ATI just have better package with HD5xxx. nvidia have only 3 positive points in my eyes. - PhysX - Overclocking potential - CUDA (if you use it) PhysX is used by not many games and i can live without it. Performance is not much better. It don't matter if i have 60 or 70 FPS it is still playable. Therefore ATI have Eyefinity which is realy usefull for me and it is also much cheaper.
I could stay with my 4870 1-1,5 more years, but got 5850 gifted At last generation there was just small difference between nv & ati, but now ATI is better
Let's see what will happen with next generation.
PS: I was still able to play all games on max settings @ 1680x1050 with my 4870. If you update your drivers all 3-4 months you shouldn't have problems.
