FU ubisoft and as long as they have this I will never buy another one of their games.

It's DRM. Current means are ineffective because of piracy. So, being able to check how the game is being used is a way of dealing with it.

They made the game. They have the right to stop people from stealing it.

I have nothing against them protecting their game but this is going too far. This is only hurting the innocent and the pirates will get around this one way or another. If you loose your internet connection you are kicked out of the game. If you are on the road or plane or what ever and have no internet you can't play the game.

I have bought probably a $1000 worth of ubisofts games over the years but no more.

Well I wrote into Ubisoft and this is what they had to say...

We appreciate you voicing your concerns about our new Online Services Platform that will be offered in “name of the game”. We feel strongly that the platform will offer benefits to the player, in form of services such as unlimited installs and that these services justify the permanent online requirement. We truly feel that the vast majority of gamers will have a smooth and easy experience with this platform.

I hope they dont eph up being able to use a trainer. Hopefully their constant server connection does not see the trainer code injected and then decide your game has been cracked and refuse to let you play.

But I would also like to add that it is BS that if you drop your internect connection (for whatever reason) for an hour or so that the game instantly stops letting you play. If they want to be this strong armed they should at least give you and hour or something and let you save which you cant do if you quite the game cause you want to do something else while internet is down with their current setup from what I understand. WTF.

I believe that they'll remove it after some strongly worded spam mails, or someone will eventually bypass it for us
