Canada and Switzerland, first half of the 1st. Seriously good game. Canada's ahead 1-0 but Switzerland is putting up a really good fight.

I don't know what they did during the second intermission but team Canada slaughtered Switzerland during the 3rd. They won 10-1.

There's a major delay in the speed skating because of the condition of the ice. It's really, really bad. Looks like the surface of the moon, covered in craters and ridges. Apparently there might be something wrong with the Zamboni.
They might start again in 30 minutes but then the first set of 9 skaters will have an advantage because they'll have more time to rest.

It's a new kind of Zamboni--one which is electric and not natural gas or propane powered. Apparently, it's a bad idea. They're also using a new device to limit particulate in the air, which may also have something to do with it.
Experimental stuff at the Olympics = Bad.

The American women are playing Russia at 2:30.
Pretty big day for hockey. I'm only watching the Canada game though, three games in a day is just too much.
Switzerland managed to get a goal in the 3rd. It ended 3-1 for America.

USA's Women are up 12-0 vs Russia in the 2nd Period. Women's Hockey really needs to be taken seriously by someone outside of North America.
