Well I have been reading this 360 magazine where it's announcing loads of games for 2010 and lots of DLC. None of this is happening for the PC which makes me think, why should we spend money on new hardware knowing that gaming on the PC is slowly fading away. Why should I spend 300 bucks on the latest video card knowing it won't give me any benefits in a couple of years? Computers pack more punch than a PS3 on steroids so why don't we get Final Fantasy games and and all the promising console titles. It really ****es me off to see that the 360 and PS3 are getting a kick ass episode for Resident evil 5 while people who bought it on the PC are left with a big hole to drop in.

Doesn't bother me. Point Lookout for Fallout 3 is the only DLC that I can say is really worth the money, and Microsoft often puts would-be 360 exclusives on the PC. And there's always companies like Valve that support the PC. I don't really see how it's disappearing.

Learn to be polite or don't post I don't want to start making you eat your words back. If you all don't feel my opinion, it's not a reason to be rude.

People have been preaching doom for the PC as a gaming platform for over 30 years.

Blah blah blah.

And yet, it's still there. Still stronger than any of its individual competitors.

When you consider that like 60% of console game sales are for the Wii, PC gaming is likely stronger than BOTH of its individual competitors.

Ok well I guess I shouldn't have made this topic. You all see that PC games are crappy ports of console games yet you still put it on a pedestal. Resident Evil 5, GTA 4, Street Fighter 4 and the list continues of games on the PC that are deprived of any new content for the PC and are left out to die. I gladly agree that steam makes a good effort to make the PC gaming survive but till when? I look at a computer now like an MMO platform.

You guys can keep bashing at this topic all you want, but you should see that I am not complaining about computer gaming being dead. I am simply sad that I am loosing the gaming experience that I once had in front of my PC.

You are complaining that crappy console games are also crappy on PC.

And you're ignoring the ****tons of PC-only games which, by and large, are far superior to anything consoles will ever get. The Total War games, Warhammer games, essentially every good RPG...the upcoming Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3...

You're also creating a strawman of "ported games". You're essentially claiming that every game which is on PC and consoles is ported, and therefore crappy. Ummmmmm...Half Life 2? Left 4 Dead? Bioshock? Mass Effect?

The concept of a "port" is really quite antiquated.

Not to mention that the PC is the best platform for FPS's and RTS games. Especially RTS.

I definitely agree with this. It's about damn near impossible to effectively control an army with two joysticks rather than a mouse.

Same goes for Fps'. Much easier to aim quickly with.
