You'll have to systematically figure out what is blocking it on your system. After activating with F1, alt+tab back out to the desktop and bring the trainer to the foreground. Try pressing the numpad keys at that point and see if it responds.
I tried that before the initial posting - the trainer options do not activate in or out of the game. I'd be happy to try a slew of possible things, but I don't know what would prevent a trainer option from activating - only you guys know the internals of your program.
In the past, if a trainer was, say, the wrong version for the game, the trainer options would activate but likely crash the game. This isn't activating anything. Does this new "template" only activate if it can find the proper memory addresses, unlike the previous which would activate regardless?
the ONLY reason the trainer would not ACTIVATE is if you have renamed the game's .exe
the trainer looks for the process name running:
MassEffect2.exe
if you have renamed your game then the trainer will not find it. other than that, perhaps something is blocking the trainer from checking the process list (i.e. anti virus, or anti spam, or anti malware, or firewall, etc.)
best,
Cal
No, the trainer "activates" as in, it acknowledges when I hit F1, but any other keys after that result in nothing. The cheats themselves do not activate - the associated sound like "trainer activated" or "trainer deactivated" is absent and there is no in-game effect. This happens if the game is being played, or if the game is minimized and I have the trainer in the foreground.
No files have been tampered with from the original steam install.
