I've having a very strange issue with the steam version of the trainer. F1 will trigger the "Trainer Activated" sound, but any subsequent use of cheat keys results in nothing - no sound and no alteration of the game.

I've got the steam DDE version, and am running on Win7 ult 64. I've tried the various "things to try" in the troubleshooting guide (running trainer as admin, in the folder with the executable, running before the game, running during the game, etc) with no change.

I also tested other trainers I had, such as the L4D2 trainer from CH, and it worked fine, so the num pad is not failing to function.

Any ideas?

This trainer uses a new template. Your AV or or OS permissions might be blocking it.

I'm certainly open to suggestions. Neither the disabling of the AV nor running the trainer as administrator has fixed the problem. If this is the "new template" for trainers it suggests that I won't be able to use ANY new trainers until there's a fix for the problem, which... is a problem too!

You'll have to systematically figure out what is blocking it on your system. After activating with F1, alt+tab back out to the desktop and bring the trainer to the foreground. Try pressing the numpad keys at that point and see if it responds.
