I got this quest from a guy at the Bar 100 Rads, and the quest end point is outside a mapwall. has anyone else finished this quest?

I've gotten this quest and had the icon on the map and been unable to find it, realizing after searching a long time that it's actually underground (I think in either the Agroprom tunnels or X18 tunnels.
so why doesn't the objective marker point to the dark valley?

It's rude to resurrect a topic that's a year and half dead. And anyway, the problem wasn't that I couldn't find the weapon, it was that it kept spawning outside the map-change border, so I couldn't reach it.
