I didn't like the ending. I expected I could bargain with this "Archdemon" at the end, maybe to sacrifice all those around me and join him to lead his army... Or perhaps to kill the demon, take in its essence and become a new demon lord...
But no, I can only be the great hero and either die and watch my funeral or live happily ever after.

the game itself is the definition of the word/s boring stale and repetitive the combat makes me want to play different games and the seemingly endless talking does nothing for me by the end my character was so unstoppable he killed everything in his path on nightmare difficulty if the combat was more linear and real time instead of the dreadful DnD system like in NW series i might have played more if i wanted to but everything put me off on it.
this game makes me give it a 3/10 for ad least they tried to make a game I've played so many rpg's its incredible playing this was an insult to my frontal lobe.

To each his own right?
I don't know, I really like that kind of combat system. My character wasn't anywhere near unstoppable at the end; I'd certainly like to know what you did =P
I'm playing through as a Mage now. The perfect combo is the petrify, and stone fist. All I ever see is "Shattered" =D.

The only difference now, is you do it without honor. Cowering behind your guns, your bombs. You don't use tactic, just force..."
I have played though and fully beaten the game 4 times already and working though 3 more played well over 140 hours and have all achievements but 3 i think which i am working on atm this game is about a 10 out of a 10 score i love this game its been the best game i have played since Suikoden V for ps2

Well I wouldn't go quite as far as calling it an insult to my frontal lobe. The writing was decent and the endless talking is what really makes a good RPG afterall. The ending just left a bad taste for me, but this is still without doubt the best RPG in several years.
Which is kind of sad I guess. The game companies keep pumping out one stupid FPS after another, but I guess it's the simple and dumb games that bring in the profits.
I love it. The only thing I would like to see that isn't there is a cursor indicating the specific direction of the quest, oh well. Oh and too much paid extra content.

I thought this game was brilliant, except the ending wasnt really as epic as other rpg's (refering to my favourites, baldurs gate 1 and 2). So that was a shame to be honest. But the whole game is very nice, the battle system is exactly what i like, with a bit of gore for criticals and such. But i cant bring myself to play it again. Because of the option to export and import characters. That was propably the main reason i played through BG2 about 30 times :P. Had a bunch of level 30-50 characters that i customized to my liking. And I could play with them over and over again, gathering new equip and enahancing my attributes by reaching certain key areas in the game that gave me those attributes. For example in the "shade world" in Dragon Age its possible to improve some attributes without leveling up. That would have been a major reason for me playing it again, and so fourth.
So the game is fun to play once, maybe twice but then its just the same sheit over and over again :P
