Please continue the high quality trainers, updates, etc., because I wouldn't be able to finish most games without you.

It also makes me wonder why they keep all the older trainer versions on the sight when it comes to steam games. Steam will always only have the latest version of a game and really it doesn't allow you to down patch a game, so they might save a bit of server space if they deleted all but the most recent version of the steam trainers.
Some people play steam offline. So if they downloaded the game awhile back it would not update.
We all need to play online with friends, this option is designed for this and many other things besides....
Go to Borderlands game > Properties. Then select the Updates tab and where it says Automatic updates, change from "Always keep this game up to date" to "Do not automatically update this game".
Once a new trainer is released, change it back to update again then disable updating again.
