Of course it's lame--IT'S THE ****ING APOCALYPSE!

    So true...

Life is best for those who enjoy it, difficult for those who analyze it and worst for those who criticize it.

When the game first came out I became a crack-addled fallout 3 monkey, but now it just seems rather repetitive.

Many people don't like a short game. A game with a lot of content is a good thing for most (although bad parts of a game can last awhile, which would not be a good thing).

Was that a severe fact or a "should-be-taken-seriously" opinion?

Yeah, Fallout 3 is pretty boring after awhile. It took less than 8 hours to finish the main quest and after that there really was no reason to play the game anymore. The wasteland is just too scripted and it makes adventuring boring - especially the second time playing it. The game world needs to feel alive with dynamic npcs that think and act for themselves - not scripted encounters. Fallout 3 feels like the game world revolves around the player too much also. That makes all the npcs you find in places like Megaton feel very artificial and fake. They are just there to cater to you and have no life of their own. It was a cool game at first, but once you're done with it - you're done with it.

If they make another Fallout game they need to make sure that the game world is not scripted so the world doesn't feel like it revolves around the player so much. Also, I think they should drop the whole "main quest" idea and just create tons of good quality mini-quests instead. That way the game never ends and it's just about developing your character and obtaining newer and better equipment.
