yes sadly i figured out that editing you flagship speed shooting range, cannon power does affect the other flagships too. the good thing about it is that its only the flagship.

so when i start a game i looked for the corsair place got a marque letter and a boarding hook. and just took over thier flagship. i had 4 flagships with speedboat speed and like a 1 mile shooting range like a destroyer.

i also changed some numbers around that my whole island would only need 1 marketplace 1 church 1 chapel 1 tavern. oh and the fire... well there is none.

here is my setting for the flagship. all you need to do is edit the xml file with notepad other editors might break the assets.xml file.

so the ones i changed are in bold.
for posting purpose i added spaces between the < >

can someone post an orininal copy of the assets file, without changes. Im a bit worried about the virus alarms that go off when extracting the 1404ex file, and since all i want is the one file, i dont want to have to use it if possible.

I figured the best ships to edit would be the oriental ones since the AI doesnt seem to ever produce them.
Also since its easy to enable the preorder silver ship properly, why not just edit that instead of the normal flagship since the AI's only have the regular kind.

I edited the asset file i already had to experiment with, and ive doen the same changes you provided but for the preorder ship as well as the orient ships, i'll test them out and report back later

i would only edit the preorder ship but i don't know how to get it. from what someone posted about the gold ship what it did to me was just change the flagship to become the gold ship. and all other players had it.

can you post something on how to activate that silver ship? that would be helpful.

well, as far as I can see, you will only get the silver ship the legal way without giving your opponents a possibility to get it by preordering . . .

when you enable it with help of modifying the game data the computer will get access to it as well . . .

So do you have to extract all the data files in order to get the assets.xml file to work? Or can you just extract the assets.xml file?

And where do I put the assets file so the game will use it instead of the one in the data file?

I didnt even buy the game (yes im a very bad man) yet i have the preorder ship unlocked in my options menu, heres how first go to this site Link and download the "PRE-ORDER CONTENT UNLOCKER" follow the instructions and thats it, as for editing your silver flagship, open up the assets file and search for preorder_ship. Once your in the right location the data for that ship starts around 24 lines above the first instance of the text "preorder_ship". Thanks to boyoboo, ive managed to turn my silver ship in to an invincible death dealer. Values ive found good to change are:
MoneyCost>3500
MaxHitpoints>20000


Ship>2
VisionRadius>1000
AttackRange>60
DamagePerSecond>45
SlotCount>6WalkingSpeed>35000Most of these have been explained by boyoboo but others ive found nice are thise section sets up that ships storage space, sometimes it wont say anything but if you replace the infro as shown above, it gives any ship the max 6 slots. Ive altered the vision range to 1000 so that even during huge maps, the fog of war is instantly gone, much better than ingame settings for maps since AI wont beable to see all as well. Attack range means you can attack from very far away. I gonna try seeing if you can make it to fire from any location on the map, like a nuke : ) Ive also made the same changes to the oriental ships, as well as make them easier to make. The AI doesnt seem to produce oriental ships, so your pretty safe. the id's to search for for quicker findage are:

15010 Caravel
15910 Large Oriental Trading Ship
15911 Large Oriental Warship
