Quite often, the information updated on one, will be copy/pasted to the other thread as well from now (April 17th 2009) onward, but of course specific replies to an individual's questions may well vary.
As always, I will try to keep the mod in step with the game, and as of 2.501 the Ewiger Krieg triple-pack method of distribution seems to work well and provide for the needs of pretty much any user's version.
Issues pertaining to the mod should be posted here (or the alternate thread in the Opposing Fronts board) to receive support.

I would like to thank any and all who've tried my mod, and I appreciate all the support and kind words I've received from them (good rating votes on the mod are especially appreciated ). With over 15,000-16,000 downloads to date combined from CH and personal hosting, I am humbled and gratified that so many others enjoy(ed) the mod.
Satisfy all your obsessive compulsive urges with Direct Fire mode on all armored vehicles!
It is not 100% tested, but using Wehrmacht and Americans things worked fine, presumably the other factions will as well.
To use Direct Fire mode on all armored vehicles, either click the icon or tap the "D" hot key. Some units have abilities that occupy slot nine of the load out, so for them please just use the "D" key. Also, in order to remedy a conflict with Commonwealth tanks "Hull Down" ability (which also uses the D hot key), I have reassigned that ability to the V key. The icon WILL note this, and I feel it works better all-in-all since it looks like an arrow pointing downward.
Direct Fire is incredibly powerful for putting shells on target, so don't be surprised by vastly improved performance unit for unit. Other tanks, particularly the Crocodile varieties have been left with their flamethrowers as the Direct Fire gun, and while previously I had said their cannons should be the DF gun, that would also make them little more than a regular Sherman/Churchill in that case, so I thought it actually counter productive to enter direct fire mode when it would turn off the one thing that made them different/special. Calliope's I consider the exception since their rocket launchers aren't for direct combat but artillery sake, thus the turret should therefore fire as usual, and their artillery capability is an activated ability anyway.
This update was a big one, but I think a huge improvement on the options and possibilities in EW. As always, enjoy and like the saying goes, if you want something blown up right you have to do it yourself
As for the server, it may well merely be a maintenance cycle for Savefile.com, so temporarily you can use:
Keep in mind, this is a 10 use link, so hop to it or you will have to resort to the original Savefile.com once they are up and going again.
The 2.500 and 2.501 iterations of the game are "format stable" through 2.502, so the mod didn't necessitate change for that patch.
By all means choose either location you prefer, hopefully Savefile.com will sort out their situation by tomorrow and there will be no more problems, but in the meanwhile Filefront is a fine host as well.
