The trainer causes live to crash. No way to use it and get achievements. The only cheat you can't get with the console is infinite ammo though. All the rest can be done from console. So, you could always learn your way around it. It still allows achievements.

ok ive done everything asked to stop the crashes with the trainer but it still crashes.

ive renamed the cat file and restarted the pc.
ive also downloaded all the trainers just to make sure its not just a certain one.

any other help would be great

Hey, I cant find Fallout.exe.cat ... I can find Fallout3.exe and fallout.exe(security file)

Ive tried searching for it, but cant find it..

I tried changing the security file and Live got disabled, but trainer didnt work.. Before I changed the filename I got "Trainer Activated" but numpads didnt work, and game crashed when a enemy aggroed

EDIT: Edited the security file and it worked So LIVe is gone and I still got my saves. And btw, if numpads arent working, check if your NumLock is on xD

My question is, does the game still autosave with out a Live Account? I logged oiut of my Live account and it said I could no longer auto save...

Not into your live account saves - as posted previously, first you need to disable live, and then you need to move your saves one directory up. If you move your saves, without disabling live, Im unsure if it will autosave, but it should still work.

I'm using the steam version. So any ideas on how to find the security file? Would appreciate the help. Thanks!

my numpad works fine and its on. otherwise i wouldn't know if the game crashes if i didn't use it !!

Wherever steam is installed is where you will find the game

X:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout 3

(minus the x86 if you only have a 32bit operating system)
