Regarding the Mega Trainer, Unlock All Badges, Unlimited Comple....

Ok, so, for some reason I have to be connected to the internet to use the mega trainer? When did this start happening? I don't always have an internet connection. So, what then? It said something about an offline key? *frowns* This seems sort of like... like invasive DRM.

i dont see why you would need to be online all the time.
spore likes to be online to download new content, but for the trainer you shound't need to be online.

but i guess you better wait for the staff to answer this one . . .

Yeah... I'm an unlim CH member too and I agree... this online check is rather invasive. I'm okay with encrypting the file 30 different ways to tuesday to include membership information for leak protection, but the online check is a bit much.

Killa_B if you're not connected to the net and you run the trainer it comes up with an error, which basically says it needs to authenticate the trainer, what I thought is it would do so then place a reg key or something, so when I wasn't connected to the net I could still use it, but no, and even after having a membership there still seems to be draw backs to the trainers.

luckily for me i'm always connected through the DSL but yea it does kinda suck sometimes. being in south florida we lose power or internet sometimes randomly and it sucks when i can't use the trainers because they require the internet. but its usually only 4-6 weeks until the public release and then just redownload it.

You have all the people who leak Caliber's work to blame. They keep stealing his work and he has to resort to this stuff to protect his work.

isnt his nick spelled "Caliber" with an "e"? ~=)

caliber is the size of amunition (even if thers an 'l' missing)
(ex)calibur is a certain sword that belongt to a certain King Arthur.

just wanted to know if you meant THE caliber or a calibur, i havnt seen around here. =)

S'fine with me. I payed good money to get good trainers. ****es me off that people steal it. Unlim's not that much money.

Though I hear where you are coming from about losing internet randomly.

Maybe there is some way to deal with that.
