Personally when I saw the trainer doing this I freaked, and read the thing about the offline key, I followed the simple instructions and voila, I now keep ALL of my trainers in a single directory with a shortcut to the game next to it so its a couple quick clicks.
While the trainer checks itself via the offline key (which is obviously stored in the trainer directory) the game is loading, and by the time im at the main game screen the trainer has finished checking itself.
The offline mode is painless unless you change hardware which is a couple clicks more.
The online mode might not ALWAYS be available but this time only happens till the trainer is unlocked to the public where you can redownload a version which doesn't check at all.
I think its fair that CH provide a 0-day trainer service where you can get the trainer no later than you already have the game. They are protecting their work and I think they've used the best method they can, please don't blame them when its the people who release them to the public that are the ones who make the problem.
This post isnt aimed at anyone in particular but is a broad statement to perhaps think of before posting in this thread
