Ok a Valcanoin idoneisa eroupted In the beggining in the 1800'sm in 1815 I think, and it was 4 times larger then Mount St. Helens, and the ash cloud was seen from Houndreds of miles away in the erouption, and it was 150,000 tns of ash and debree, and itcoverd India and it blocked out the sun and i droped below 0 degrees, and about a year later it coverd te globe, and a newspaper in england wrote in 1816 that hail and ash was falling from thwe cloud.
Now picture this, the Yellow stone erouption is gonna be in the Millions of tons, I think over 1 million tons, and just 150,000 tons coverd half the world,. its gonna cause a Nuclear Winter, and all the animalls are gonna Die from inhailing the ash,
Heres a lil info on ash. Ok if you breath in ash it wil clog up your lungs and will basically clogg ur entire lungs, and ur ung will basically give in and just stop working. and if it gets in your eye you will go blind.
Hows that for a chilling thought...

And if a plane happens to be flying close to the ash cloud it'll stall because the ash clogs up the engines.

It clogs into the fan blades and they stop spinning. And since a jet engine works by sucking in air and blowing it out the back, if it can't spin, it can't suck in air and blow it out the back. A jetliner can fly on one engine so it could be ok but if both engines get clogged all the pilot can do is glide to a runway. It's possible but you'd have to be within a few miles of an airport or somewhere flat.

thats right. and they stop spinning because the ash actually melts into a sticky substance. thats cuz of the heat the engine makes.
