Make sure you have a mast er ball. They can catch any wild pok'emon. Even Mewtwo. If he doesn't "seem" to fit the category, it still catches him. I've done it. Make sure he's wea though dude.

I can't believe that the bulbasaur codes didn't help. They worked for me. If they don't work for him, then something's strange.
