There is an Island 7, and Island 8 you can either get from a Gameshark/AR/CodeBreaker code, or a Nintendo endorsed even, like Poke'mon Rocks America 2004 (which has gone by! )
there are 9 islands 8 is where you can get deoxys 9 is where you can get ho-oh and lugia or it might be 8 is where you can get ho-oh and lugia 9 is where you can get deoxys
there are 2 types of deoxys you can get on leaf green and fire red
but only one for each game
leaf green version of the deoxy:defence type fire red version of the deoxy:attack type you can only get to the 8th and 9th islands by a gameshark/ar/codebreaker or a nintendo event

Another way to catch mew is to randomly encounter it while you walk around in cerulean cave (you can access it after you defeat the elite four).
