Make a report and have some patience for this game.
As you said, and possible saw on my post above, game engine changes usually means a complete rewrite of the trainer.
Those tend to take a bit extra work.

Please use the update notification system to report a game patch, update or to report that the trainer may not be working with the latest version of the game. If 3 or more reports have been filed, consider BOOSTING the priority of this title for a faster turnaround on the updated trainer.

people might not have noticed the game changes are so extensive the save games also do not work anymore according to the patch note info, so i am guessing the trainer is even more so in need of a overhaul as well so patience is needed for sure.

I just tried this on a new install and got the same.
You would have report this. Might have something to do with the patch today. I can't tell if that came before or after the trainer patched.

While the money option doesn't work, further experimentation has shown that there is a workaround of sorts. The "sellable items" option does work, and can be used to get money that way.

I know. Did it with the sell item cheat.

Can't report game update from aurora-app. Do it next time I'm on the website
