Are you connected via a cable or Wifi?

Cable > Unplug cable.
Wifi > Click the like Wifi button in the bottom left hand corner and turn it off.

Firewall > Google how to block and application through Windows Firewall.

Thanks I figured it out. I went into the settings menu and did it from there. I didn't want to mess around with cables and I did not think of the firewall.

So I've been using the latest trainer (12-13-2021) with the Game Pass version and overall, the trainer works without issues with options 2, 3, and 4. I have tried to use option 1 but every time I enter combat with option 1 enabled, the game ends up crashing so now I just avoid option 1 all together. Haven't had the need to use option 5 so I have no input on that.

Also when I first tested using the trainer, I was playing offline and while it worked, I was not receiving my achievements when completing tasks. I tried it again while online and the game ran fine with achievements coming through. Hopefully this trainer doesn't flag my account but I have yet to encounter any issues while playing the campaign.

So, just from reading posts and seeing different things. Does the trainer disable achievements or do they still pop with trainer?

always a risk on any trainer really.
saying that there is no active anti cheat built into halo to detect this. additionally the method to report in MP has been criticised as being....lackluster.
so if you use correctly per CH TOS and only use in SP you "should" be fine

achievments still pop on steam no issues for me btw

I have not used the trainer yet and have never even downloaded it, but today the crashes started, so maybe it's not the trainer at all
