There is an add on for Firefox called Dark Reader. It has a filter setting that makes it so the text will be easly readable though the brighter colours will be slighty darker or lighter and not correct but for the mean time untill a dark mode is hopefully added to the site again, this is a great solution i find.

There is another one
called Dark Mode however it is a copy of Dark Reader and it contains malware so do not download it.

I have used many dark mode addons over the years and I find this one addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/dark-background-light-text/ to be the best, has chrome version too with same name but I don't have link, its not perfect but default mode makes it black and text is readable, it flashes white on page load sadly but for those like me this one should help you out.
