It removes the edited item when the item ID does not exist. Changing an item to a weapon doesn't work as the weapons are listed under a different tab.

Ah that makes a lot of sense. Thank you!
anyone got the dent plates working or is it just me when i try item just disappear
I was able to get the dent plates to work, I had the best luck replacing an item that hadn't been edited, and that I only had 1 of. For some reason items that had I had 99 of would disappear.
On a side note I was able to get a weapon to replace but I had to replace another weapon in order for it to work. At least when I attempted regular items, my game would crash or just flat out remove my item.
Oh, so that's how it works. Unfortunately, even then I couldn't get a weapon to replace another weapon. Is there any specifics to it that I'm missing?
Honestly I can't say for sure. It took a while, I tried it about 3 or 4 times and then eventually it worked. But I reloaded the save earlier today, and boom the weapon and the original weapon were gone. So I'd be careful if you are able to successfully be able to do that. Truth be told I don't know if you are missing something since the only thing I have been able to get to work is the weapon replacement and that was only once. Besides that the Item ID swap doesn't work for me at all, I've read the instructions carefully, but oh well hopefully the next update will work. If not I'll try to use CoSMOS to see if I can get anything to work.
I'm also looking through the game files again to see if maybe I can find another ID for the weapon. Oh well... I'll keep trying.
Howdy,
Before I begin please note that some tabs have a red warning since they are untested, please be careful, I don't know what will happen if those items are changed.
I spent a good few hours searching the games files, and I was able to find the item list with the values. Just gonna say it was a real pain.
I digress, I went ahead and edited the spreadsheet that was provided, adding tabs and what not. I also dumped all the information I found which included chip values. I was also able to find, from what I understand, the weapons IDs as well as Unique Items, Capacity Chips, Fishes, and a few other various categories. Some of the weird categories I haven't tested yet, but I'll make a clean save soon hopefully to test them.
The names were the raw game names, which maybe over time some people can rename to their proper names.
Hopefully this helps with anything, if interest, I can also point anyone to the location of the files I used to find the values.
Best of luck!
Hey! Thank you for your hard work mate
