As I don't speak Japanese and the game has two executables for both supported languages, the trainer is for the ENGLISH version only.

I just downloaded the game fresh from Steam. It's all in english so I assume it's the english executable.

Trainer is looking for NOBU14SR_EN.exe and if you say the trainer says waiting for game you are launching a game with a different executable name.

This is another game. The game you have is "Sphere of Influence", but "Sphere of Influence Ascension" (which this trainer thread is for) is the successor.
